The GLAMMONS Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), How could commons enrich GLAMs? A GLAMMONS approach, was designed and implemented as one of the central outputs of the project, translating its research findings into an accessible educational format. Conceived as a free and openly available online resource, the MOOC serves both as a dissemination tool and as an exploitation pathway, ensuring that the knowledge developed within GLAMMONS continues to circulate and support professionals, students, and communities beyond the funding period.
The course is organised into ten modules, each led by a project partner in line with their expertise. It begins with a general Introduction (Panteion University) and a grounding in “Conceptualising GLAMs as Commons” (Panteion University). Subsequent modules explore “Sustainable Financing for GLAMs under Commons” (TU Berlin), “Values and Emerging Cultures of Commoning” (CREARE Social), and “Participation and Leadership in Commons Arrangements” (InPolis Urbanism). Practical applications are addressed through “Co-Curation Practices” (BSB) and “Digitalisation” (Mazomos), while “Skills and Capacities” (Nova Iskra) considers the competences institutions must develop to embed commons-based approaches. The course concludes with a module on “Policies that Enable Commoning Practices” (Panteion University).
